My son has a pimple on his lip?

My 3 year old son has a spot on the corner of his mouth. No one in the immediate family has a cold sore but I wonder if this could be it and what to do about it.

Good morning, ma'am,
You mention that it has been a few days, has the size of the lesion increased or decreased? Has the appearance changed?

no it is the same size and appearance for 3 days. My son does not complain of discomfort and does not tend to touch or scratch the pimple so does not seem to be bothered

Thanks for the feedback!
Usually, a cold sore evolves more or less quickly and manifests itself as blisters of fluid. However, it is impossible to determine the exact cause of this blister, and the diagnosis is beyond what can be done on this platform. I urge you to consult a doctor, if only as a precaution, in order to get the right diagnosis and, if necessary, not to delay the right treatment.
Sorry I can't be more helpful to you at this time.
