I have a bad cold with a hacking cough. What cough syrup can I take since I am breastfeeding?

Good evening ma'am,
During pregnancy and while breastfeeding, I do not recommend the use of cough syrup. Instead, I recommend that you minimize the amount of mucus in your nose (which is runny and makes you cough) by using a product like Sinus Rinse™ twice a day for at least 5 days.
Also, I recommend taking a spoonful of honey during coughing spells or before bedtime.
Drink plenty of water and get some rest. The whole thing will be behind you in a few days.
Happy evening,
