Flu with severe cough and vomiting. Since 12 days; what to do?

36-year-old womana year ago
I have the flu. Accompanied by everything that goes with this virus for the past 10 days. I went to the hospital but was told that the virus sometimes takes more than 14 days to leave. My biggest problem and symptom right now is the cough! I cough excessively, to the point of vomiting because I am running out of air. When I exert myself; not so much as just taking out the garbage; I have difficulty breathing for a while and then it comes back normal. At night it's even worse; I almost don't sleep anymore because I cough continuously. My throat is very sore from this, and I have a loss of voice. The hospital told me that my lungs were clear. My oxygen saturation and blood pressure were also fine. How can I get rid of this cough that won't go away. Thank you so much.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
In order to better understand your needs, would it be possible to know if you have other symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, even a little? Have you tried anything for this problem?

Oh! I had described everything but it seems that the text is not there.
I went to the hospital due to a 10 day fever, coughing expectorantly, colored mucus, pain in my throat from coughing and in my chest.
My pressure is good. My saturation is 96. My temperature has been spiking for 14 days now. It's the flu (influenza).
I have pumps to hang morning and evening the blue and the brown
My cough persists! My throat hurts.
I have nosebleeds.
My cough is extremely disturbing because it is day and night. I vomit every day because of the secretions. I am tired and without energy.
Thank you for helping me

Thanks for the information!
For throat irritation, Tylenol and lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend are the first options.
For cough and phlegm, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution like Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse which can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bed. It's a little uncomfortable but works wonders to reduce the secretions that go down your throat and cause coughing.
I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, depending on your preference.
I will be available if you have any further questions!

Thank you very much for your advice. I bought the Neilmed sinus rinse in a pharmacy. I was wondering how many times a day to do it? I noticed that it improved my comfort a little bit especially at the level of secretions which are perpetually present.
How long is influenza contagious exactly?

Thanks for the feedback!
There is no maximum number of times per day really
As for the contagion period, it is strongest during the first 7 to 14 days but it remains a risk as long as you have symptoms.

Thank you very much, you are very good advice. So I continue with the nasal hygiene and the lozenges. Thank you for your time.
