Xiidra and eye irritation?

Is it normal for Xiidra drops to get hot in the eyes for several minutes after application? Will this eventually disappear? I have just started the treatment (dry eyes) Are headaches a side effect of Xiidra? I feel like they give me a headache for a few hours after I put them on. Hello Mrs. Local irritation is a side effect of Xiidra. This effect may diminish with time but persists in some people. A good way to improve comfort is to apply lubricating drops 5 minutes after applying Xiidra Unfortunately, headaches are also known to occur with this medication.
