My son has a cold and runny eyes, what should I do?

My 3 year old boy has had a cold for several days with colored nasal discharge. Since yesterday, his nasal secretions have started to come out of his eyes as well, in relatively large quantities. Today his eyes are puffy. The conjunctivas are not red, he does not need a temperature, does not complain of pain and has a good general condition. We already do sinus rinse about 4 times a day.

Good morning, ma'am,
Discharge from the eyes often occurs during a cold and in most cases it is viral and will go away by itself
Just keep the area clean with a clean damp towel, taking care not to share or reuse it as it can be contagious.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
