Hello, I have been taking Amitriptyline 10 mg in low dose for my migraines for a week. I have the taste of metal in my mouth and it is numb in the morning. It is very unpleasant.

Good morning, ma'am, This is a possible side effect of the medication, particularly its propensity to cause dry mouth. This does not necessarily indicate a problem and may diminish over time for some people.
