White mucus in my stool - is there a problem? Hello,
I am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant (sa) and for the past two days my stomach has been making strange noises (as if I had indigestion or a stomach bug that was starting). I am often constipated because of the vitamins I take, the Preg-Vit. However, since yesterday I see white mucus in my stool. Not a lot but I saw some yesterday and today. There is no blood, so it doesn't hurt but there is that. Also, as mentioned, my belly is constantly making noises like it's fermenting or something.
What to do? is this a sign of a bacterial problem? (note that I have no nausea so far)

Hello. The presence of mucus in the stool can indicate an irritation or inflammation of the digestive tract. It may be due to stress or indigestion for example, but the problem often goes away on its own. I am reassured that you are not reporting any other symptoms
if the problem persists for more than 7 days or if other symptoms occur (fever, vomiting for example), I advise you to go see a doctor.

Hello,
Thanks for the feedback. Can I take digestive enzymes before each meal? I used to take that and it helped a lot. Now with the pregnancy, opinions are divided
Please note, these are Webber Naturals digestive enzymes

Sorry for the delay! I contacted the Webber company. For the
products in their line, they display on each of their packages the mention not to be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women, if applicable. If the product does not have this statement, I am told that it can be used. The ingredients in this product are not expected to cause any problems during pregnancy.
