Can he take "zero" Gatorade (no sugar) given the minerals/ingredients in it and that my dad only has one kidney left?

Hello,
I have a question related to the Gatorade "zero" electrolyte drink.
My father is 79 years old. He suffers from diabetes 2 + HTA and Cholesterol all well controlled with medication.
For almost 5 years he has had a urinary stoma, following 20 years of recurrent bladder cancer that became too aggressive to save the bladder again.
As a result of this chx, one kidney stopped working, unfortunately it was a possibility.
He has to drink a lot of water/liquids but the water at some point, "we've had a bit of it".

Good morning, ma'am,
I don't see a problem with him taking it, but in moderate quantities of course.
I also suggest, as a precaution, to confirm this with his doctor, considering that he might have more information than I do.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Hello,
thank you very much dear sir for your follow-up.
We will try to see with the doctor but in my opinion, will refer me to a pharmacist.
I will try to do more research by myself...
Sincerely yours,
Thank you for your time.
I know very well that it is precious and often very rare.
You are very important for the population.
Good continuation.
See you maybe next time.
