Can gastroenteritis cause a fever?

My daughter is 2.5 years old and has a fever of 39.3 and is vomiting. With the tylenol the fever does not go below 38, 38.3. Could the fever make her vomit? She has vomited 3 times so far.

Hello, thank you for your question!
Indeed, gastroenteritis can cause fever and vomiting.
As for Tylenol, it is a good option, but it must be given according to your daughter's weight and the concentration of the product you have on hand.
Also, we could suggest Gravol to help reduce nausea and vomiting. This is also given according to weight, and is available as a drinkable solution or rectal suppository if your child cannot swallow anything
Your pharmacist will be able to tell you the exact doses to give if necessary
I am available if you have any further questions!

Another question, she has been coughing for 2 weeks now during the day but at night she has good coughing fits, when should I consult? We have tried homeopathic syrup.

You can start by stopping the homeopathic syrups, and giving her plenty of fluids to drink. Even a teaspoon of honey may be more effective in relieving the cough
I would also be tempted to suggest that you perform nasal hygiene with saline water such as Hydrasense, Salinex and others. This can greatly help prevent mucus from going down the back of the throat and causing coughing. This can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime.

After yesterday's fever episode, she has small red pimples all over her body. She did not get a fever again and did not have any other vomiting, she has some on her feet, legs, stomach, back and a little on her cheeks

Thanks for the feedback!
However, in the presence of fever and pimples, it is recommended to consult a doctor as a precaution.
