Good morning, ma'am,
This can occur during an episode of fatigue, illness, consumption of irritating or hot food, or if there has been a small abrasion.
The lesions often heal on their own, and may require 7 to 10 days.
Taking Tylenol can help reduce the pain, and I encourage avoiding irritating foods.
However, if the number of lesions continues to increase, or if they persist for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor, as a precaution.
I will remain available if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
