My boy coughs dry but only at night around 10pm and 3am but never for more than 10-20 sec about 2-3 times. Why is this?

He just got over a cold recently. I do sinus rinses in the morning before daycare and in the evening before bedtime and there are practically no secretions. Moreover, his morale is very good, he eats well, drinks well and has not had a temperature. I wonder if it could be his teeth growth that makes him cough 2-3 times at night? Maybe it's the saliva accunulatiob? Otherwise I really don't know what it is because his general condition is very good.

Hello!
Does he have a fever?
If he only coughs a few times occasionally like this, it's not a concern, especially since he just had a cold, these are probably residual symptoms. Teething doesn't usually cause coughing.
You can keep doing the Sinus Rinse, it's the best thing to do right now! His cough should subside over the next few days. :)
Hopefully this information can help you!

No my boy doesn't have a fever. It's weird that he only coughs during the night and during the day hardly any and it's been almost 1 month ... but when he coughs it's never long it's only 2-3 times

Since it's not a chronic cough and he only coughs a few times during the night, I don't think it's anything to worry about. Besides, sporadic coughing (which happens for no reason, at a certain random time) is a completely normal phenomenon in both adults and children, and is sometimes just to clear secretions, dust, or particles to clear the airways. If the cough worsens, is constant all night or also appears during the day, there might be reason to consult, but for now, I reassure you that it is not abnormal at all.
