I suspect tonsillitis in my 2 year old boy. He has white spots and swollen tonsils. What can I do to help him? What can I do to help him?

For now, if your child has a fever and/or is showing signs of throat pain, your best solution to soothe a little is the use of acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra and other brands). It is given according to weight, your pharmacist.ne will be able to tell you the volume to give your child according to his weight and the concentration of the product chosen.
Aside from that, encourage your child to drink, it's also a good non-pharmacological measure to reduce the discomfort in the throat if there is any.
In the majority of cases, it's a virus that is at fault and the episode goes away by itself.
If you don't see any improvement 7 days after the onset of symptoms, or fever that lasts more than 3 days, you will need to see a doctor.
