Is having swollen lymph nodes for several weeks with increasing pain a cause for concern and can I consult without a card?

25-year-old womana year ago
Hello ! I am a 24 year old male, 5p11 and 190lb with no known medications or health problems. However, I have noticed (for about 1 to 2 months) that I have occasional minor pain under the armpit, where the ribs. In the last few weeks, the pain is more present, especially on palpation. It remains nevertheless very tolerable. Recently, I notice that the same phenomenon seems to occur also at the bottom of the belly, near the navel. I think it's swollen nodes, but I'm not sure since I don't feel huge bumps. Moreover, I feel particularly tired and weak lately. There are no other symptoms. Secondly, not being very good at my job (!), I did not renew my health insurance card which expired in January. I have applied to receive the papers again so that I can go to the SAAQ to have my photo redone and receive a new card, but with the delays in the mail and in making appointments at the SAAQ I will certainly not have a new card within a month. If my situation worsens or requires a quick medical expertise, is it possible to consult without having an up-to-date health insurance card?

Hello Sir,
It is possible to feel the ganglions during periods of illness, fatigue, stress and for several weeks. I suggest if possible to avoid touching or massaging the area.
If the situation persists for more than 4 weeks without improvement and without any detectable cause, you should consult a doctor. It is indeed possible to consult if you have proof that an application for a health insurance card is being processed.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
