I had a pap smear this morning and now I have pain and burning when I urinate, is this normal?

Mild pain is possible following this type of examination, but is usually temporary

The pain should gradually diminish in the following days. Taking acetaminophen (Tylenol and other companies) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and other companies), if you have no contraindications to taking them, can help relieve the pain.

If you do not notice any improvement within 3 days, or if other symptoms occur, I suggest that you consult a doctor, as a precaution.
