How often should I change my dressing?

64 year old man. Not taking any medication. I have a wound caused by an itchy dermatosis. There is no infection but the wound is 1cm long by 3mm wide. Depth of about 5 mm. I have had this wound for 7 days. I use Elastoplast dressings for sensitive skin. Would silver ion dressings be better?

Hello Sir,

I suggest changing the dressing every 24 hours, unless it is soiled

Just keep the area clean with water and mild soap.
