My son takes Prevacid (15mg pill cut in 2) every day, he arches his back when he drinks, regurgitates more and more, what should I do?

My son arches his back more and more often crying during feeds, he is currently taking Prevacid (15mg, pill cut in 2), he regurgitates more and more (each feed, after bedtime, before feeding) each day and has at least one bowel movement a day that seems "icky", I don't take any dairy products anymore (exclusive breastfeeding), I'm running out of ideas on how to help him.. What should I look at?

Hello,
I have a few questions: how old is he? How long have you stopped eating dairy products and have you also stopped eating beef? And finally, is your baby following his weight curve?

He is 4 1/2 months old (May 11, 2019), I eat very little beef (1x per month or less). He has been following his curve (25th percentile) since birth. I have stopped dairy completely (except for a little chocolate milk 1x week) since mid-August.

I ask because at this age children are not (or extremely rarely) lactose intolerant but rather intolerant to bovine proteins, including beef. It takes at least a week to do a test, which you did.
One reassuring thing is that the baby follows his curve and the reflux is "normal" in the newborn. However, it does not usually cause discomfort, which seems to be different for your baby. For the stools, a breastfed baby of this age usually has liquid or very soft and yellow stools, the "mucusy" aspect does not worry me either.
There are many reasons for "arching" and dissatisfaction during feeds. I encourage you to go to "bébé trucs" if you don't know about it, it's a CLSC service, there are moms with their babies and health professionals who can help you. It is open every Wednesday from 1 to 4:30 pm, 500 Murray Street Locoal 0111. It is free and no appointment is necessary.
I hope this will help you.
