Hello ma'am,
It is practically impossible to make a determination without first seeing the lesions you are referring to(which is impossible here). So I recommend that you go to the pharmacy to show the lesions, either directly with your child or, even more applicable and discreet in your situation, bring a picture. 📷
The pharmacist on duty will be able to direct you to the right product based on his or her observations, or recommend a medical consultation if he or she feels it is necessary.
Generally speaking, very red plated buttocks are often related to
gluteal erythema. This skin irritation reaction can be caused by skin-urine contact time/excretion in diapers in young children as well as factors like being under occlusion, friction, etc. A
complication of diaper rash can be
superinfection, bacterial or fungal.
On the other hand, if you have been using clotrimazole (an anti-fungal cream) for 6 days and there is no improvement, it is most likely not the cause of the redness. 😕
Sorry I can't be more helpful at this time. I encourage you to consult with your local pharmacist, as they will assess your son's rash and help guide you to the best possible care, whether it's an over-the-counter treatment or a consultation with a doctor.
Don't hesitate to contact us with any other questions! ☺️
