Can Atarax and Rupall be given at the same time to a 22-month-old child?

My 22 month old son has a lot of eczema on his feet and hands. He scratches a lot on the back of his head too, especially at night. We give him 6 ml of atarax at bedtime. Can we give him his rupall 5 ml in the morning in addition?

Thank you for your question. To answer your question, yes, taking atarax and rupall is compatible. Were these prescribed by the doctor? The treatment of eczema is also mostly done by topical treatment. Do you use a good moisturizing cream when you get out of the bath? For example, CeraVe or Cutibase cream are excellent options. In addition, a cortisone cream can sometimes be prescribed to help treat the eczema. If the doctor has not prescribed one, some of these are available in pharmacies and do not require a prescription. Hopefully this answers your question. Do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide you with more information! Laurie Hudon-Germain, pharmacist

We have 7 different types of cortisone for each body part. We use moisturizing creams recommended by his dermatologist at Ste-Justine several times a day. He is poly-allergic to over 25 foods. Rupall has been prescribed to us as well as Atarax.

I agree! Then I see absolutely no problem with using Rupall in the morning in addition to Atarax in the evening. Pleasure! Laurie Hudon-Germain, pharmacist
