My 5 week old daughter has had diarrhea for 4 days. She does not have a fever and is drinking her usual drinks. Should I go see a doctor?

Hello Ma'am,
What do you mean by diarrhea? At this age, children usually have loose stools. Has the frequency of stools been much greater in the last 4 days?

Hello,
These stools were slightly more consistent in the last few weeks (but almost liquid) currently they are very liquid and sticky. She has been having fewer bowel movements for the past 4 days but has been having one to two very large liquid bowel movements a day. The smell is also different.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for those details.
One last question: is she exclusively breastfed?

Sorry, I forgot to specify that she is not nursing. She is drinking Enfamil A* commercial formula in concentrate

Thank you.
Surely, I don't think this is a situation that needs urgent medical attention. I think we should continue to monitor for a few days before thinking about going to see a doctor (considering her overall good condition and lack of fever).
Maybe it's just a small virus, in which case it should pass within 3-4 days.
Make sure by then, that the commercial formula is properly diluted (follow the recommended recipe) and that your child continues to have good, regular pees (to keep up with the risk of dehydration).
If it's still the same in 3 to 4 days, you can seek medical attention at that point.
