My daughter is complaining of trouble with her vision and the eye test we did was normal. Should I consult the doctor?

She mentions having blackheads in bits and that her eyes strain when they stare at a dot .

Hello,
How long has your daughter been complaining of trouble with her vision?
Also, when you say that the eye test she had was normal, was that a test for this particular problem or is it an annual eye exam (when was the eye test done?)
Normally, if any of the following symptoms appear, it is recommended to see an optometrist or doctor:
  • Moderate-severe pain in the eye
  • Vision impairment
  • Intense sensitivity to light
So, has she ever consulted (optometrist, physician) since the onset of her vision impairment?

Hello , we went to the optometrist last week and was complaining about her aches and pains since the holidays . They performed a normal eye exam as well as a special exam at the end with drops that freeze the eyes . She also had her retina examined and everything was fine. I made an appointment with the doctor but it is in two weeks. As I am rather worried by nature, I wanted to make sure that I did not have to go to the doctor earlier.

It's hard to tell if it's urgent or not since the optometrist didn't find any problems during her examination. Optometrists are more expert than we are when it comes to these types of problems.
In my opinion, if the vision problem does not get worse (and with the fact that the eye exam was normal), it would be possible to wait up to 1 week for the doctor's appointment. So if it's possible, I would recommend going for a consultation within 7 days.
Hopefully I have answered your question!
