My daughter is 18 months old and has the outside corner of her right eye red and swollen. It's been 2 days now with no discharge or itching. What should I do?

She has had a cold recently (no fever, runny nose and loss of appetite). She also has 2 pre-molars coming out. Should I consult? What do you recommend I buy in a pharmacy to relieve her?

How did it finally develop in her ear?

For her eye, the most common cause at this age (when there is no discharge) is a bug bite. The best thing to do is just give her a dose of Benadryl by mouth today and follow up if the swelling goes down.
