this has been happening frequently for the past few months. I'm trying to take her off the lactose and she seems to be doing better. She took some yesterday morning I don't know if it's that. I went to the hospital last week because of fever and stomach ache. At the moment she has no fever, eats well, hydrates well and is in good shape. But she has a stomach ache and has gone to the toilet several times since yesterday. What can I give her to make her stools harder?

Hello Mrs,
At this age, only favor light foods such as soups, broths, toast, eggs, brown rice, and avoid very fatty or very sweet foods such as red meat and undiluted fruit juices.
Be sure to keep him well hydrated, with 1 sip of liquid every 3 to 5 minutes (do not drink too quickly as this can also trigger diarrhea).
At first glance, I think we should try to find a possible cause or causes. What I suggest for the next 4 to 6 weeks is to keep a journal where you will write down everything she consumes as well as the quantities, but also the activities undertaken, and her state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.). In the second column you could record the occurrence and extent of the symptoms. We could then identify some possible causes. This may take several weeks so I suggest being diligent.
If no cause can be suggested, I suggest consulting a physician for a thorough evaluation of the situation, if the diarrhea persists.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
