My one year old baby has had a fever for 7 days and has been taking amoxicillin for 36 hours for ear infections. Her rectal temperature is 39.1 again this morning and she sleeps a lot. When should I reconsult if the fever persists?

Hello ma'am, it may take 48 to 72 hours to see how effective the antibiotic is. You can administer Tylenol or Tempra with the antibiotic during this period.
