I went to see my family doctor about two problems, the first one was a sleep disorder, I explained to him that for the last few years I have been extremely exhausted all the time, I can sleep 12 to 15 hours at night, wake up and take a nap, then go to bed that night and

Sleep easily and quickly. The second problem for which I went to see him concerns anxiety as well as demetophobia for which I am already being treated. He prescribed me a new medication, Fetzamil (Levomilnacipran) 20mg. However, due to the lack of time and the speed of the appointments, I did not really understand how this medication works and which problem it concerns. Is it anxiety or hypersomnia? Moreover, there is not enough information on this medication on the internet since it has just been released.

Hello! Fetzima is a member of the antidepressant class of medications, and these are often prescribed to treat anxiety, although they are not always approved to treat this condition. This medication is not used for hypersomnia. The most common side effects of Fetzamil are similar to other antidepressants, i.e. nausea, possible increase in heart rate, increased sweating, and constipation. I don't know what medication(s) you are already taking (you mention that you are already being followed for anxiety and emetophobia)? Good evening, Emmanuelle
