I am a 46 year old woman with type 2 diabetes for 20 years. My blood sugar is out of control. Should I quarantine myself?

I have been a diabetic for 20 years with oral medication and insulin. My blood sugar has been between 8 and 20 for a few weeks.

Hello, 😊
At this time, there is no reason for you to be in quarantine. In fact, being a person with diabetes and 46 years old are not criteria for quarantine.
On the other hand, you should address the management of your blood glucose with your pharmacist. He or she can adjust your medications under certain conditions or contact your doctor to do so.
I suggest that you monitor your symptoms over the next few days: if you have a fever, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or very severe fatigue, I recommend that you visit this site ( 👉CoronaCheck) created by the Swiss authorities, but very adequate to our "local" situation in Quebec.
Happy day!
