I have been taking vyvanse (currently 20mg in the morning for about 1 year) for a few years and have noticed recently that when I have a coffee in the morning, I experience a lot of nervousness, shaking, palpitations and a slight tightness in my chest/chest cavity for a good part of the day. I am not a big coffee drinker, I usually have one or two a week, sometimes none. I am naturally anxious. Is this normal? Should I avoid coffee? Thank you for your help!

Hello Sir, The symptoms you describe are normal and probably related to your coffee consumption. This is because the caffeine in it causes your body to be stimulated, similar to what Vyvanse causes your brain. In this case, both ingredients continue to stimulate you, causing the tremors and palpitations. You could try decaffeinated coffee, which has much less caffeine, or simply skip the coffee when you take the Vyvanse. This should take care of the situation.Good day, Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
