After two miscarriages, is it necessary to increase the dosage of nutritional supplements?

Hi, I had two miscarriages (January 2022 and August 2022) at 8 weeks pregnant. I am currently taking prenatal vitamins (personal brand). I was wondering if I should increase the dosage after reading the following article from the CHUSJ: https://www.chusj.org/en/soins-services/C/complications-de-grossesse/complications-mere/Complications/fausses-couches-avortements-repetition#:~:text=A%20investigation%20will%20not%20initiate%C3%A9e,positive%20not%20not%20count%C3%A9es . The article names that a dose of folic acid should be 1 mg and 1000IU of vitamin D. Since the vitamins I am currently taking only contain 600 mcg of folic acid and 600 IU, should I change the dosage? I am aware that the vitamins will not decrease the risk of miscarriage but I would like to be more informed.

Hello Madam, very good question!
I don't see a problem with increasing the amount of folic acid from 0.6mg to 1mg. You should know that some multivitamins contain 1mg of folic acid like this one. On the other hand, I don't see any problem with increasing the amount of vitamin D either, to 1000 IU per day.
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any other questions :)
Sincerely,

Thank you very much for your answer!
Are the recommendations following a second miscarriage the same as for the first, i.e. to wait one to three months before trying again, or should the break between pregnancies be longer?

Yes, it's the same recommendation according to the references I looked at as well. However the majority of references I have indicate at least 3 months.
