Thank you for the clarification. Indeed, anti-inflammatory drugs such as celecoxib are indicated for this type of pain, but also and especially physiotherapy
We give about 2 to 3 months to evaluate the effectiveness of the physio. If the situation worsens and it is not due to a false movement or a new injury, it is recommended to consult a doctor, who will probably order imaging tests to evaluate the extent of the injury. That being said there are medications that can help alleviate neurological symptoms such as electric shocks. These require a medical evaluation and prescription, and will be chosen based on your history, other symptoms, and preferences.
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hello sorry I forgot to mention that I had already had an MRI

Thank you! Indeed the pain can sometimes get worse, following a wrong movement, or after sleeping in a certain position. Sometimes the pain can occur the next day or even a few days later. However, this exacerbation should be temporary and the physiotherapy treatment plan should be reviewed.

Do I have to go back to school or do I wait a few days?

If you are able to do so, I suggest that you see your physiotherapist first
