What can explain this feeling of bubbles and gurgling in the throat? Should I seek help?

I feel a bubbling sensation in my throat and it makes noise (like gurgling). It seems to be more present in the morning when I have just gotten up and/or after having a sip of liquid. It's not necessarily painful, but rather unpleasant, as if I feel air bubbles passing through my digestive system.

Good morning, ma'am,
How long have you noticed this?
Have you been able to associate this with a particular food or activity?
Are you currently taking any other medications?

Hello,
I have noticed this for a few weeks and have not been able to associate it with any particular food.
I don't take any medications except for an anti-viral. I sometimes use over the counter medications (Advil, Pepcid, Gaviscon).
Thank you.

Thanks for the information.
At first glance, I think we should try to find a possible cause. What I suggest for the next 4 to 6 weeks is to keep a journal where you will write down everything you consume as well as the quantities, but also the activities you undertake, and your state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.). In the second column you could write down the occurrence and extent of the symptoms. We could then identify some possible causes. This may take several weeks so I suggest being diligent.
If no cause can be suggested, I suggest consulting a physician to get a thorough evaluation of the situation.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
