What can I do to regulate my menstrual cycle?

31-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, I stopped taking the contraceptive pill about 8 months ago. Since stopping, my cycles have been very long and irregular, and my periods are very few and short. My cycles have varied between 38 and 57 days, and I am currently on day 61 of the current cycle. I consulted my doctor who told me that as long as a woman has 4 periods in a year, there is nothing to worry about. However, this makes it very difficult for us to have children.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Indeed, as your doctor mentioned, if no cause has been found to explain the longer than normal cycle, no need to worry. However, it can indeed make it more difficult to conceive. There is no medication that can give the effect you want
However, if it has been more than a year, I invite you to consult your doctor again to see if there are other options available to you
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
