Is there a cough syrup for my 3 year old daughter?

Short answer: There is no effective cough syrup for adults or children. You have to treat the cause, and the main cause of coughing is runny nose that goes down the back of the throat.

In this case, the best treatment is nasal hygiene with saline water, like Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse, or other companies. They are safe, effective, and can be used as often as needed during the day. I would suggest, however, that nasal hygiene be performed at least 30 minutes before bedtime.

Your pharmacist will be able to show you the product and how to use it, depending on what is available.
