I went to the doctor for a sore throat and he told me I had strep throat!

I have been on antibiotics since Friday of last week! I started again today to have a very sore throat and difficulty to swallow... can it come back in such a short time?

Hello, If you started the antibiotics last Friday, you should still have some pills left to take until Monday? Have you been taking the antibiotics every day as prescribed since the beginning? Because there are 2 possibilities here 1- Treatment failure 2- Reinfection, meaning that someone around you has infected you again I recommend that you go back to the doctor today, because normally the sore throat should not come back.
