I have anal sex, and it is not very pleasant at the moment. My doctor has given me cortisone cream for the inflammation for now, but I'm thinking of surgery.

Hello. By the way any surgery has risks and that is why this route is usually taken as a last resort. Treatment with topical products is usually effective but can sometimes be long. It would be best during the next few weeks to avoid

anal relations to allow for better healing.
