Is it safe to take cipralex 10mg during pregnancy

Hi, I am newly taking cipralex 10mg and am considering a pregnancy in the next few months. Some articles online make a link between taking Rx and neuro-dev prob. like autism. Is it possible to get your opinion on this? Thank you!

Hello, thank you for your question!
One must always weigh the benefits and risks of a treatment. In the case of anxiety or depression, it's the same thing: you have to weigh the risks and benefits of treating and not treating, because depression and anxiety can affect the health of the mother and the fetus as well
That being said, if the use of cipralex is absolutely necessary, closer monitoring during pregnancy is recommended. Some reviews of studies have indeed shown the possibility of complications during pregnancy, and several reviews have not reported a significant increase in problems or malformations with the use of Cipralex class medications.
I hope I have been of some help to you, and I remain available if there is anything I can do
