I have been taking Venlaxafine for about 5 weeks in relation to my mood due to ongoing physical pain. I do not have any allergies.

Hello,

There are no problems with taking venlafaxine (Effexor) in combination with pain medications.

However, it is not recommended to take aspirin and Advil and Celebrex at the same time. You should only take one anti-inflammatory at a time. Doing otherwise can cause long-term problems (stomach irritation, kidney damage, etc.).

Thank you very much for the answer. Indeed, if I take Advils, Aspirin or Celebrex it will not be at the same time... What about Cyclobenzaprines? Thanks again :)

Cyclobenzaprine may cause drowsiness. You may experience an odd effect of drowsiness and damping at the beginning of treatment with Venlafaxine (Effexor), which may be increased by taking Cyclobenzaprine at the same time. If you are able, temporarily suspend cyclobenzaprine when introducing Venlafaxine. You may resume it as needed once your body is accustomed to the presence of Effexor.
