Hello Sir, that's a great question!
What type of allergic reaction have you had? Do you need to have an Epipen near you?
According to the recommendations issued by the Government of Canada regarding the risk of allergies with Pfizer-BioNtech's COVID-19 vaccine, it states to the public:
1." Do not receive Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine if you know you are allergic to any of its ingredients."
Medicinal ingredient:
  • mRNA
Non-medicinal ingredients:
  • ALC-0315 = ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate)
  • ALC-0159 = 2-[(polyethylene glycol)-2000]-N,Ndetradecylacetamide
  • 1,2- distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholinecholesterol
  • dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate
  • monobasic potassium phosphate
  • potassium chloride
  • saccharose
  • water for injection
2." If you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to another vaccine, drug or food, tell your health care provider before getting the vaccine."
So, anti-inflammatory drugs would not be an ingredient found in the vaccine, but if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction (must carry an Epipen), whether as a result of food, drug or etc., it is contraindicated to get the Pfizer vaccine.
More data will become available, as the vaccine is tested in different types of higher-risk populations.
I hope I have answered your question.

The reaction I had was an attack of hives and at that time the doctor had warned me not to take any more medication containing anti-inflammatory. I already have an epipen because I am allergic to wasps. So with this information, is the vaccine contraindicated?
thank you.

Thank you for the details, as mentioned, as long as a patient has had a severe allergic reaction, whether following a drug, food, or other (so wasps in your case), it is not yet appropriate to offer, at this time, this type of vaccine.
More data will become available, as the vaccine is tested in different types of higher risk populations, including patients who have had severe allergic reactions in the past.
