Can I use the Tigerbalm pregnant?

My back sometimes hurts because of my weight gain. I am starting my third trimester. I don't like to take medicine by mouth, I prefer to rub myself. Thank you for your help.

Even if you prefer to rub yourself, taking acetamiophene (tylenol) is perfectly indicated and may well give you relief. This is because all anti-inflammatory drugs are contraindicated in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, whether taken orally (Advil, Motrin) or applied (Voltaren Emulgel, Myoflex, antiphlogestin). The menthol contained in Deep Cold or Deep Relief is an acceptable alternative. Good luck for the last 3 months
