I have swelling in my lower abdomen?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
I changed birth control pills last Sunday (previously Loestrin - now Jencycla). I have a feeling since Monday night of pressure or as if I was raked after doing sports in the pelvic area. I noticed, as if I had a tampon, that the inside of my vagina is very swollen/swollen. Is it my new pill, should I consult quickly? Is it serious?

Hello Mrs
Although this may seem quite unpleasant, what you are reporting is often a common side effect with Jencycla (and other contraceptives). This is often mild and temporary. We usually give 1 to 3 months for this, if not less.
If it becomes too bothersome, I invite you to talk to your pharmacist so that he/she can assess the situation in a way that is personalized to your needs.
I hope I have been helpful, I remain available if you have any further questions
