My son has a rash and is taking amoxicillin, what should I do?

My boy started an antibiotic yesterday morning (novamoxin) because there is a shortage of amoxil. He had a rash on his legs 36 hours later, 8 hours after his morning dose. So he had time to take 3 doses. He has already taken amoxil,

Considering the rash during treatment, it is impossible without a thorough evaluation to determine if amoxicillin is the cause. Therefore, I strongly suggest that you consult with your pharmacist who can customize a consultation and if deemed necessary contact the prescriber. I would like to point out, however, that the prescriber may ask to see your child again to both assess the rash and reassess the appropriateness of the treatment.
