Can I take Reactin, Tylenol and Advil with my other prescribed medications?

65 -year-old man3 years ago
Hello, I take daily and for a long time, a Reactine for an allergy to cats (I have two), a medication to control my pressure Sandoz (4mg), two medication to control my Cholesterol (Ezetimide 10 mg and Ezomeprazol 40 mg) to control my cholesterol (Ezetimide 10 mg and Ezomeprazol 40 mg), a Nexium 40 mg to control my acid reflux and an Aspirin 81 mg. Not to mention that more often than not I take Tylenol and Advil for headaches and or muscle aches. Oufff ... All of this at different times of the day, more or less in the morning and in the evening near bedtime. Am I killing my kidneys? Am I killing my kidneys or am I crippling my future? I am a 62 year old man, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds Thank you for getting back to me and especially for continuing your good work. [Name removed to preserve confidentiality]

Hello Sir, thank you for your question!
On the face of it, Reactin and Tylenol do not seem to be problematic at all, if the recommended dose is respected
As for Advil, its use from time to time should not cause any problem, but if Tylenol is sufficient for you, I advise you to avoid Advil. It can increase blood pressure and decrease the protective effects of your 4mg antihypertensive (perindopril? trandolapril?).
Finally, I can advise you, if you haven't already done so, to reduce your salt intake (avoid adding salt to your meals), exercise regularly, stay well hydrated, and get enough sleep at night. Other than that, I think your annual/bi-annual appointments are enough to ensure that everything is going well on your end.
I hope I've been helpful, and if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Thank you very much for your quick response Tom.
Your sound advice is greatly appreciated.
* I noticed on the package that it was Sandoz but did not read any further.
Thanks again and have a nice day
