How do you remove a close-up dressing without risking opening the wound?

20-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello, I injured my eyebrow a few days ago. At the hospital, they closed the wound with glue. According to the doctor's recommendation, I should remove the bandages that they put over the wound today. What should I do to keep it looking good?

Hello, thank you for your question!
First, you will need to clean the area with mild soap and warm water, taking care to lightly pat the area afterwards.
You have to remove each 'bandage' one by one, pulling very lightly by the end until you get to the wound. Then you have to go to the other end to remove the whole bandage. You must go slowly.
After removing each bandage, you will need to re-clean the area and ideally cover it with a bandage, as a covered wound heals better.
I hope I have been of some help to you, please do not hesitate if there is anything you need
