Since yesterday my ankles are swollen, especially the left one. My left leg also seems a little heavier.

I am currently taking feramax at 2 tablets a day and I have noticed that since then my feet have started to swell. Could there be a link?

Hello, As far as I know, Feramax (which is basically just iron) does not cause this type of symptom. If it does, it would be quite unusual In order to better analyze your situation, I will need more information... If you can answer the following questions, it would help guide me in my analysis and advice: Did you bang your ankle some time before it became swollen? Is the swelling soft or hard? Is the leg also swollen? If so, when you press it, does it leave a mark or does the skin return to its previous appearance? Does it hurt? How long have you been taking Feramax? Are there any other symptoms that appear that seem unusual? Based on the symptoms you describe, it sounds to me at this point more like venous insufficiency. You can apply ice to reduce the swelling and use Advil (ibuprofen) as well. Since it's fairly new, it's a little early to recommend compression stockings, but it will depend on how your symptoms progress.
