A 4 year old child with a white tongue, she uses a Flovent pump.

Hello, my 4 year old daughter has a lot of cough and she has been using a Flovent pump once a day for about a week. I noticed tonight that her tongue was white. She rinses her mouth after using it, but could it be that she didn't rinse well enough and that it is a kind of thrush? If not, could it be something else? Is there anything we can do? Thank you.

Good morning, ma'am,
If your child has been diagnosed with thrush following the use of Florent (or other inhaled corticosteroid) and treatment, I invite you to visit your pharmacist who will conduct a short consultation to evaluate the possibility of prescribing treatment.
Otherwise, if the situation persists for more than 3 to 7 days or worsens, you should consult a physician.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, Pharmacist

This is the first time this has happened. Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days.
