I just found out I am pregnant and I am trying to quit smoking. Can I take patches?

... my family doctor prescribed me Zyban after trying the patches that stick to my skin halfway! I know that Zyban is forbidden during pregnancy but can I take the nicotine patches? Thank you

Good evening ma'am,
Yes, you are right. The use of Zyban™ is avoided during pregnancy. That said, it is possible to use the patches.
If you found it wasn't sticking, you should know that you can find diachylons in pharmacies to improve the adhesion of the patch to the skin, and even glues to add to the skin before application.
Congratulations on this news!
And happy new year,
