What should I do about my 3-month-old's cold?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
My 3 month old baby has had a good cold for 1 week. Lots of secretions and coughing. No fever. In spite of the many nasal hygienes that I make him, it does not decrease. He is starting to have a sore throat and sometimes it hurts when he drinks. Can I give Elixia Prospan to help him? These are natural products.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about his troubles!
Unfortunately, this product is not indicated for a child of this age. You did the right thing with nasal hygiene, it is the only and best treatment that is effective and safe. I suggest that you do it as often as necessary and at least 30 minutes before bedtime; there is no maximum number of times per day. I also encourage you to use a baby fly afterwards to suck up the secretions.
Give your baby a drink often, even if it means giving less each time but more often.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor.
I hope I've been helpful and I'm available if you have any other questions!
