How do I get rid of the smell that lingers in my nose?

Hello, for almost a week I have been smelling cigarettes all the time. Because of my work, I went to a smoker's house, the smell is in my nose since then. I am a non-smoker.

Hello ma'am,
Would it be possible to know if you have any other symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, even a little, coughing or anything else, and if you have tried anything for that?

I had a virus about 3 weeks ago (sore throat, fever, cough). Right now I still have a sore throat and a little cough. No nasal congestion. I went to a place that smelled a lot of cigarettes and I smell this smell all the time since then. I did nasal showers with saline water. Nothing else

Thank you for the information
The cough may persist for several weeks after an episode of infection. You should notice a gradual improvement every day
Tylenol and lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend can help with throat pain, and Sinus Rinse can prevent coughing, which is often caused by secretions running down the back of the throat. It may also help with the unusual smell you are experiencing.
