Hello, I am a 61 year old woman. I have been taking citalopram for 12 days. 7 days 10 mg and now for 5 days 20mg. Rivotril .05 mg, 1/2 in the morning and 1 in the evening. Trazadone 50mg 1 1/2 at bedtime Rosuvastatin 10 mg. Since I have been taking citalopram I have pain in my hips up to my knee and in my shoulders up to my elbows. Today, my bpm is between 52 and 58 according to the kardiamobile calculator.

Hello, Madam,
Did the pain appear with 10 mg or 20 mg?
Are there other possible causes for this pain such as an activity, fall, accident, wrong movement or other?
Is the pain present at a particular time of the day or with a certain position/activity?

Since I started taking citalopram.
The pains are intense when I wake up and they get better during the day, but without going away completely

Thanks for the feedback.
Based on what you describe, it is unlikely that citalopram is involved, but it is not impossible. That being said, we will have to rule out other causes for your pain, so I must strongly suggest consulting a physician. He/she will be able to thoroughly evaluate the situation and if there is no other cause, citalopram should be reconsidered for you.
Sincerely,

Thanks for the feedback! If your symptoms persist, impinge on your quality of life, or get worse, I suggest trying to get an RV sooner.
Have a great day too!
Tom
