I have a very bad pain in my arm where I got the whooping cough vaccine this week. The pain had gone away and then came back.

The pain is increasing! I can't lay on this arm anymore and it's difficult to lift it up in the air but especially to lower it back down

Good morning, ma'am,
It is common to have muscle pain where you receive a vaccine, sometimes up to a few days after the injection. It seems to me that your pain is muscular, which suggests an inflammation of the muscle.
To make sure I can rule out any other problems, I have a few questions:
  1. Do you have a fever?
  2. Do you have any other medical conditions?
  3. Have you done any unusual exercise with your arms or repetitive motion?
According to these answers I will be able to better target the cause but at first it seems to me that it is due to the inflammatory reaction following an injection.
You can try acetaminophen (Tylenol) and apply ice to the arm. Acetaminophen is completely safe during pregnancy.
If the pain persists for more than 2 days or increases in intensity, you can consult a doctor, but it should improve quickly.
Hopefully this will help you. Don't hesitate if you have any other questions =)
