Are breast pain and bleeding related? Should I change my contraception?

23-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello, for almost 2 months, my breasts have been hurting. Burning and tugging sensation. Moreover, for about a month now, I've had little bleedings almost every day even though I'm taking the contraceptive pill continuously. I've been taking Alyssena continuously for almost a year and a half and I've never had a problem like this.

and breasts that are very sensitive to touch

Hello,
It is very likely that the 2 symptoms you mention are related. Your continuous spotting is a sign that your body needs a break. Engorged breasts are also a sign of fluid retention induced by the progestin contained in the contraceptive
When was the last time you stopped?
How many days had you stopped at that time?

May 10 for 7 days

It's been a while though. I would maintain my recommendation to do a 7 day downtime to see if it settles before making any changes

Okay, I'll try that. Thank you. If it doesn't fit what should I do?

If it doesn't go back, you will have to change your contraceptive
