Should I continue the vitamin D supplement if my baby is on formula?

Hello, I was giving my baby vitamin D until he was 4 months old as he was breastfed. Since then, he has been taking Similac Step 1 Gentle Bedtime Formula and I was wondering if I should continue to give him vitamin D as well? He is 6 months old and drinks about 30 oz per 24 hours. Thanks

Hello Ma'am, thank you for your question!
Based on the vitamin D content of the formula you mentioned, I would suggest continuing to give your child vitamin D, for now.
You may want to discontinue the vitamin D if your child exceeds 33 ounces (1000 ml) of formula per day, which will equate to about 400 iu of vitamin D per day.
Hopefully, I have helped you, and I am still available if you have any further questions!
